This unit trains participants to respond as an appointed Fire Warden or Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) member within their workplace. You will learn:

  • Emergency response protocols in your facility

  • Communicating with other wardens and emergency services
  • Pre- and post-emergency responsibilities

PUAFER008 – Confine Small Emergencies in a Facility

This module provides guidance for handling small-scale emergencies, including:

  • Isolating and containing small fires
  • Managing chemical spills using appropriate PPE and spill kits
  • Shutting down unsafe equipment or systems
  • Evacuating people from danger zones
  • Using emergency communication systems appropriately

CPPFES2005 – Demonstrate First Attack Firefighting Equipment

You’ll gain hands-on skills in the safe and effective use of fire safety equipment, including:
