HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR in various situations, including community and workplace settings.
Course delivery
This course is offered as a face-to-face course. Pre-course learning is required.
Units of competency
Upon completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC Licence Training Pty LTD – RTO 3399.HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitationTo view full unit details please visit www.training.gov.au.
Course duration
For the standard course – Face to Face minimum duration is 2 hours. For the express course – Face to Face minimum duration is 30 minutes*.*Maximum class size applies
Pre-requisites
There are no formal prerequisite units required for entry into this course. Learners will require English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills.
Entry requirements
During registration for this course, students will be required to undertake a short online LLN assessment.Learners undertaking the express course must have previously completed the HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.Learners will be required to provide a copy of their expiring Statement of Attainment on the day of their face-to-face course.
Training Requirements
Face to face training consists of theory presentations and range of practical learning activities and scenarios.
Assessment requirements
Assessment activities will include a knowledge test and a practical assessment for CPR techniques. Students will also complete scenarios in a simulated environment.

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Course delivery
This course is offered as a face-to-face course. Pre-course learning is required.
Units of competency
Upon completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC Licence Training Pty LTD – RTO 3399HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitationHLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life supportHLTAID011 – Provide First AidTo view full unit details please visit www.training.gov.au.

HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants and children in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies.This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school-age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

This course is offered as a face-to-face course. Pre-course learning is required.
