First Aid Course Perth

First Aid Certified provide daily training courses in HLTAID011 Provide First Aid at our Perth training centres in Perth & across regional Perth.

First Aid Courses are delivered face to face in a classroom setting.

This HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course covers the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies, this course also includes the unit of competence HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

The course applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and all workplace industry settings.

This course is suitable for beginners and individuals who haven’t had a certificate in many years, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is the standard workplace first aid course and is sometimes referred to as First Aid Level 2 or Senior First Aid.

Students will complete activities including:

Adult and infant resuscitation manikins following ARC guidelines for the purpose of assessment of CPR procedures

Adrenaline auto-injector training device

AED training devices

Workplace first aid kit

Placebo bronchodilator and spacer device

Different types of wound dressings and bandages

Workplace injury, trauma or illness record, or other applicable workplace or site incident report form.

Successful Students can use this nationally accredited course as credit for further vocational education.

Once enrolled you will receive access to all pre-course reading and activities and a copy of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Course Learner Guide.

Completion

Upon successful completion of this (2 Hour Courses) plus online / activities course, you will receive a certificate with the national unit of competence HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.

Successful completion of this course includes the national unit of competence HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

 

Our Provide First Aid Training delivery are outlined below:

Standard First Aid Course

Students complete online learning and attend a part day course (up to 3 hours) with their trainer. This course is ideal for those with limited experience or those who prefer to spend more time in the classroom refreshing their knowledge and practicing the skills involved in first aid.

Express Course – Face to Face Practical

Students complete pre-course learning and attend a shorter course of up to 3 hours with their trainer. This course is ideal for those with experience, having completed first aid training previously or for those working in the medical field. Students attending an express course will complete the practical assessments and the completion of the pre-course learning assisted with refreshing their knowledge to prepare for the assessment. All theory assessments are completed prior to attending the assessment.

Pre-Course Learning:

The online pre-course learning consists of presentations, and multiple-choice questions aimed to prepare students for further training and or assessment. The pre-course learning can also be completed by a hard copy workbook, or in-class with the trainer if organised before-hand.

95% of students and instructors prefer the online method as it’s convenient and cost efficient.

When you enrol into a first aid course with one of our first aid training partners, you will automatically be emailed your login for the online pre-course learning. You can start it straight away.

The Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment can be issued on the same day and is renewable every 3 years with the CPR unit renewable annually.

HLTAID010: Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
HLTAID011: Provide First Aid
