First Aid Certified – Perth’s Trusted Provider for Industry-Recognised Emergency Training

If you are conducting live electrical work or working near live switchboards, the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid + UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel offered by First Aid Certified in Perth is a mandatory safety requirement — and one that could save lives.

Designed to meet workplace health and safety obligations, this essential course equips participants with the skills and confidence to perform rescue procedures from live low voltage (LV) panels, and to provide CPR and First Aid in emergency situations, all in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Participants will gain hands-on training and theoretical knowledge covering:

Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electrical industry environment. This does not include overhead lines and underground cables.

It includes the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of live LV panel rescue equipment, and how it applies to electricity supply industry (ESI) workers and/or electrical industry workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.

Students will also gain knowledge and skills to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response and may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace subject to regulations for undertaking of electrical work in a range of situations, including workplace settings.

There is no formal entry requirements for this course. However, students enrolling in the Express course delivery are encouraged to have existing skills relevant to the course content. For

example, they may be renewing a certification, completing refresher training, or regularly using the skills covered by the course in their workplace.

Note: Students who attend Express courses and are deemed Not Yet Competent (NYC) may be required to undertake additional training and reassessment or re-enrol in the course before competency can be achieved.

Upon successful completion of all the requirements of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC Licence Training Pty LTD – RTO 3399

The statement of attainment is valid for 3 years. However, please note that the HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live Low Voltage panel components of the training are valid for 12 months and should be updated annually.

There are no formal prerequisite units required for entry into this course. However, learners will require English Language, Literacy, numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills.

Assessment will include a mix of knowledge and practical assessments, including CPR and First Aid techniques
